photo11-Mobile-150x150Fr, MAREK JANOWSKI SJ – I was born in 1971. I come from Besko in Southeast Poland. After finishing forestry school in Zagnansk, I began studies in philosophy at the Catholic University of Lublin and joined the S ociety of Jesus in 1997. In 2000-2002 I went to Limerick (Ireland) for 2 years of apostolic experience, and shortly after finishing it, I started first cycle of theology studies in Dublin. During 2005-2007, I continued my studies in Theology of Spirituality at Weston Jesuit School of Theology, in Cambridge MA. Besides philosophy, I am interested in Ignatian spirituality and anthropology. In 2007-2012 I was director of the Jesuit Centre for formation and culture “Xaverianum” in Opole, Poland. Shortly before being appointed pastor at St. Ladislaus, I spent 6 months in Africa, where
I accomplished the last stage of my formation in the Society of Jesus.  

Fr.-Damian-Mazurkiewicz-SJ-150x150Fr. Damian Mazurkiewicz, SJ – I was born in 1982 and raised near Opole (south-west Poland). After finishing High School I joined the Jesuits in 2000. I studied philosophy in Kraków for three years, achieving my BA. From 2005 to 2007 I worked as a religion teacher at Nativity Mission Center middle school in New York. After that, I came back to Poland to study theology in Warsaw and in Bratislava (Slovakia) for one semester. During philosophical and theological studies I was involved in campus ministry where I ran liturgical, biblical and prayer groups.
I was ordained a deacon in 2010 and ordained a priest in 2011. After ordination I was sent to work in youth ministry in Kraków. I was responsible for the youth retreat program. I also ran the local group of youth movement “Magis”. This year I organized  Ignatian Youth Days in Stara Wieś. This is a gathering of young people from Jesuit parishes in Poland.
