The Womens Center is a pro-life minis-try devoted to helping women in problem pregnancies. We are funded by private donations and we have three counseling offices in the Chicago area. Each year our counselors help about 5,000 women and their families. Approximately 30,000 babies are living because of our mission. Training sessions for Counseling Office volunteers are be-ing hold in our Cicero Ave. Office in June. People are also needed to assist clients in our Cicero Ave. Family Room, especially on Saturdays, and for a front desk receptionist. Call Judy at 773-794-3292 for more information. At the present time we need new and gently used small size maternity clothes. Also needed are breast pumps, diapers, household cleaning supplies, paper products and toiletries. Please call 773-794-1313 for our address where these can be dropped off. The families who receive these are grateful for your generosity. We urgently need full size strollers, chang-ing tables, baby swings, bouncers, small chests of drawers. We also need baby cribs, bumper pads, crib sheets, porta-cribs, baby bath tubs, high chairs and infant car seats. It will be a great help if you can deliver these to us, otherwise call 773-794-1313 to have a volunteer pick them up.

Did you know?
Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer.
More people die of radon exposure every year then are killed by drunk drivers.
Nearly one in 15 homes in the U. S. has high levels of indoor radon.
The U. S. Surgeon General and the EPA recommended all homes be tested for radon.
Homes with high radon levels can be fixed. For a free radon test for your single family home call:

God's Providence has been at work in and through the Archdiocese of Chicago for over 160 years... This illustrated history of the Archdiocese shows the working of God in and through his faithful people. It features the story of our parishes, schools and other institutions; but it is basically a story of grace. Millions have cooperated with the Lord in creating and sustaining the Archdiocese. Millions more will continue and build upon this history in the years to come.
This book shows how we've used Christ's gifts or squandered them, how we've hoarded them or shared them. It's the story of our life in Christ, a story more beautiful even than the marvelous pictures and poignant words that heve been brought together to create this book.
I hope that many Catholics of the Archdiocese and others will rejoice in this book, use it and share it. May it prompt us to new gratitude to Almight God and to a new sense of purpose.
Francis Cardinal George, OMI
Archbishop of Chicago
