SACRAMENTS

Baptism

For Catholics, the Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptized as infants or adults, Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.

First Sunday of the Month - Polish, after the 1:30 p.m. Mass
Second Sunday of the Month - English, after the Noon Mass
First time parents should arrange to attend a preparation session prior to the celebration of the sacrament. Sessions are held in the school at 7:30 PM every 1st Wednesday of the Month in English and every 3rd Wednesday of the Month in Polish.

Reconciliation

The Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as the Sacrament of Penance, or Penance and Reconciliation) has three elements: conversion, confession and celebration. In it we find God's unconditional forgiveness, and as a result we are called to forgive others.

Monday - Saturday: after 7:00 a.m. Mass
First Friday: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Marriage

For Catholics, the Sacrament of Marriage, or Holy Matrimony, is a public sign that one gives oneself totally to this other person. It is also a public statement about God: the loving union of husband and wife speaks of family values and also God's values.

Arrangements must be made at least four months in advance. Please make an appointment with one of the priests to begin the process.

Anointing of the Sick

The Catholic sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriate not only for physical but also for mental and spiritual sickness.

In all cases of serious illness or accident the priest should be called at once. Holy Communion will be brought to the sick upon request.
